Company History

E.T. Ferrell & Son was founded in the mid 1930's by the late E.T. Ferrell Sr. at 104 E. John St. in Mount Olive. During the 1930's and 1940's, the company offered a full line of household appliances, including water pumps and plumbing fixtures along with repair services. After World War II, the plumbing industry began to grow and E.T. Ferrell began devoting more interest to this field. By the late 1940's, the company had also entered the heating business, installing boilers and warm air furnaces. In the early 1950's, E.T. "Tommie" Ferrell Jr. joined the family business full time. At this time, the company became more involved in the heating and air conditioning field, expanded its sheet metal shop, and became a General Electric franchised dealer, selling and servicing furnaces, air conditioners, and heat pumps. Tommie Ferrell continued to operate E.T. Ferrell & Son until his retirement in 1984. Today E.T. Ferrell & Son is a growing mechanical contractor, serving a wide range of residential, commercial and industrial markets, The Company is now operated by E.T. "Tom" Ferrell III and Alex Ferrell, the third generation of family members. As an authorized Trane Comfort Specialist Dealer, it offers a complete line of high efficiency gas and electric heating and cooling systems. The company is insured and licensed in plumbing, heating, air conditioning and electrical contracting. E.T. Ferrell & Son appreciates their customers and is proud of its service technicians, installation department, and customer service representatives who are all committed to quality service with 100 percent customer satisfaction being their everyday goal.
